EUAM Iraq conducted a meeting with the Minister of Interior, H.E. Othman Al-Ghanimi to hand over the Technical Assessment on the Human Resources Information System. The assessment will improve significantly the Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) capacity and effectiveness in terms of digitalisation.

The Mission contracted an external, U.S. based company, QBE, to deliver the technical assessment of the project. The company provided several recommendations and proposed way forward along with EUAM Iraq’s strategic advice.

The MoI is the largest government institution in Iraq with 600 000 employees.

- The project is fully in line with the expressed goals of the Iraqi government: to have an effective, digitalised, controlled and well governed HR System. I feel that the dedicated staff of the MoI is now ready for digital transformation and have willingness to move forward, EUAM Iraq’s Senior Strategic Advisor Lars Madsen says.

EUAM Iraq continues to advise the HR Directorate, the Training and Qualification Directorate and the External Training Directorate on developing Human Resources Management Strategy. The aim is to further enhance capacity building on policy design and development as well as to provide expertise in high level strategic change management and leadership.
