EUAM Iraq in close cooperation with core international partners on SSR, organised and facilitated two mini workshops on possible structures for the effective implementation of the Iraqi Security Sector Reform (SSR) and on the shift from military command and control to police led and provided security services.
 

Representatives of the Support Committee on SSR discussed the terms of reference and future tasks as well as the allocation of responsibilities in order to accelerate the reform as soon as the Prime Minister has approved the implementation phase.

The Mission supports the Iraqi government in this transition from state-oriented to human-oriented security.
