A 2-day workshop on Intelligence-Led Policing and Multi-Agency Collaboration was conducted by EUAM Iraq advisers with the participation of several Iraqi security agencies including the Ministry of Interior’s Directorate of Organised Crime and Directorate of Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, the Central Bank of Iraq’s Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing of Terrorism Office, and INTERPOL National Central Bureau Baghdad.

The workshop, held at the MoI’s Training and Qualification Center in Baghdad, aimed to strengthen the agencies’ operational cooperation capacities in fighting organised crime, money-laundering and terrorism. 

EUAM Iraq Head of Operations, Kimmo Elomaa, stated: “Intelligence-Led Policing and Multi-Agency Collaboration strategy not only provides a modern approach to identifying and planning countermeasures against increased transnational threats such as terrorism and organised crime but can also be applied to day-to-day proactive planning and police management.”
