On 19 September, EUAM Iraq in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Interior launched a five-day ‘’Strategic Planning Workshop’’ in Erbil. This is the second event in a series of capacity workshops being jointly convened with the Mission and the Ministry. It is the first ever event organised by the Mission involving joint participation of 32 strategic planners from both the Federal and the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Interior.

EUAM Iraq is committed to working with both security partners to promote and develop national capacity, capabilities, and resilience. This event is testament to this commitment and signified both symbolic as well as practical strategic cooperation.

The objective of the workshop is to support nationally led efforts centred on sustainable strategic planning and implementation. This will ensure that important strategic objectives are realised and governance arrangements are in place to enable the process of an effective strategic planning cycle.
