EUAM Iraq Deputy Head of Mission Ms. Anne Meskanen met with the Minister of Interior, H.E. Othman Al-Ghanimi to discuss the promotion of human rights and advancing the women, peace and security agenda.

The Mission reassured its support to the Ministry in advancing the Ministry of Interior's priorities of the 2nd National Action Plan pursuant to U.N. Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. The Minister expressed his appreciation for EUAM’s commitment and good cooperation including on the development of a modern Human Resources Management System function in support of the Security Sector Reform process.
