The National Security Advisor, H.E. Qasim Al-Araji, invited EUAM Iraq, the EU Delegation, EU Member States and other key international and national stakeholders to honour the efforts of CVE, but also to commemorate the victims of terrorism and discuss the way forward.
“EUAM Iraq is supporting the country in building stronger networks and building up their knowledge which are crucial elements to be always one step ahead of extremists and terrorists’ groups”, summarised the Senior Strategic Adviser of EUAM Iraq in the panel discussion.
The Mission supported Iraq in linking Iraq's CVE efforts with global initiatives such as the European Knowledge Hub for Prevention and the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, to name a few, as well as capacity building, study visits to Europe and training.
The National Security Advisor honoured the support of the Mission by handing over a shield to Anders Wiberg, Head of EUAM Iraq.
