EUAM Iraq opened a high-level Senior Strategic Leadership and Change Management Programme for executives of the Ministry of Interior. The event is financed by Germany and will be facilitated by EUAM Iraq and Hertie School of Governance.

Head of Mission, Anders Wiberg, emphasised in his opening speech that this 3 weeks training represents an important milestone in promoting transformative leadership in the Iraqi security sector.  He appealed that responsible and effective leadership is a key to a sustainable reform of the security sector and wished the participants success.

Fifty senior leaders from all agencies and branches of the Ministry of Interior’s Headquarters in Baghdad qualified for this high-level programme and were selected by the Minister of Interior to attend.

The training is tailored to empower senior officials with invaluable insights and practical strategies essential for effectively leading change in the Ministry, thus contributing to security sector reform in Iraq.
