"This workshop provided a great deal of valuable and modern ideas in various fields that were delivered using new approaches, methods and techniques. It also gave everyone an opportunity to exchange opinions and to share experiences amongst colleagues whilst discussing HR issues and challenges."
Another participant said:
“This workshop addressed an important aspect of our work at the MoI, which is strategic planning. We were also exposed to some ideas and suggestions that will be useful going forward. Additionallly, understanding the necessary planning steps is important for achieving the strategic goals of the Ministry. Exchanging views and experiences with other officers from different departments in the directorate was very valuable.”Offering capacity building programmes of this type is part of the EUAM Iraq’s commitment to supporting and advising the MOI in the development of modern Human Resources Management functions.
Robert Knight, the EUAM Iraq’s Senior Strategic Adviser on Human Resources Management who designed and facilitated the workshops, expressed his insights:

Major General Hussein Sabhan, Director of Human Resources Directorate at MoI has provided full support to the EUAM Iraq’s efforts, and took the opportunity attend the workshop in person to witness the level of interaction amongst the participants.
Major General Hussein Sabhan also expressed his gratitude for the Mission’s support in organizing these sessions:

The EUAM Iraq is cooperative in terms of supporting and organizing these workshops, and we have many future plans for more workshops."
Phase 2 of the programme, which will be offered in late summer 2022, aims to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical ability to design and implement strategic human resources planning in their departments.
